1.      Technical Introduction:

At present, the rubber sleeve of injection well packer is easily damaged. After analysis we can find that the reason of that is mainly due to the expansion and contraction of the column. The main factors causing expanding and contracting of column are water injection pressure, interlayer pressure difference and water injection temperature. The development of BSQ-114 peristaltic compensator solves the problem mentioned above.

R positioning site test has been carried out for this compensator at well 23264 by Shengli Oil Production Plant. The test results proved that the packer did not creep (check the following pages for the positioning test curve) and the design goal was achieved. Then this item is used in large-scale with strong promotion and application by Shengli Oilfield Oil Production Plant and has got obvious results.

This item is anchor-free and anti-creeping, which will also effectively avoid column stuck caused by anchoring. No need to add other auxiliary tools and convenient for use. It is a patented product, please do not copy.

 

2. Technical Features:

l  The upper water injection pipe column and the lower packer pipe column are divided into two bodies, and they constitute a low-pressure closed chamber. According to principle that force at both ends can not cancel out each other in closed chamber, it will not only compensate the downward force of upper water injection pipe column, but also generate an upward force. It is called pressure compensation.

l  Under the action of the hydrostatic column, the upper water injection pipe column receives 1008kg upward thrust, and the force generated by the temperature effect elongate the upper water injection pipe column, which can offset the force on the upper water injection pipe column brought by hydrostatic column. It is called temperature effect compensation.

l  The design is that, the forces that upper and lower packer column tolerate tend to balance when the water is injected or stopped. The peristalsis of the packer is only related to the pressure difference between the uppermost and lowermost layers. When the piston effect force generated by the pressure difference between the layers is less than the friction of the rubber, the packer column stays still and it means the packer cylinder does not creep.

l  The packer will not creep during the whole process from setting to setting pressure relief.

l  From water injected to stopped:

(1) The packer does not creep if the lowermost layer is the stopped layer

(2) The primary packer will creep up once in the first water injection if the top layer is the stopped layer, then it will not creep whether water injected or stopped; the second packer does not creep when used.

l  It can transmit torque. When stuck happens, it will forward the pipe string to transfer the torque to the lower pipe string, then the left hand thread double joint is tripped, and the pipe string above the stuck point can be put raised, which provides convenient conditions for the next stuck release process.

3. Basic Structure and Working Principle:

BSQ-114 creep compensator is mainly composed of upper joint, upper outer tube, lower outer tube, cylinder sleeve, upper central tube, central tube, lower central tube, sealing joint, rail pin and sealing assembly. Current structure divides the underground pipe string from original one into two relative moving bodies. The upper water injection pipe string is made up of five parts: upper joint, upper outer tube, lower outer tube, cylinder liner and sealing joint and these parts are connected. Upper central tube, center tube and lower central tube are joined together to form the lower packer string. The upper water injection pipe string and the lower packer string operate to form a low-pressure closed chamber, according to the principle that force at two hydraulic system ends can not cancel out each other. Due to the pressure and working pressure of hydrostatic string, the force of packer string is basically balanced whether water injected or stopped. The influence of packer creeping only comes from the pressure difference between the uppermost layer and the lowermost layer acting on the position effect of cylinder. The packer will not creep when position effect force is less than cylinder friction. If position effect force is greater than cylinder friction, the packer will creep.

It is suitable for separate injection well, and it will not affect the use of creep compensation even if there is a dynamic stop layer or a square stop layer,

6. Attention:

l  Connect to the first oil pipe at the upper end of the first stage packer, and there is reverse buckle double joint with pipe string tripped in forwarding at the bottom of  compensator, which is easy for stuck handling.

l  The pipe tong cannot hit on the sealing surface of the lower center tube, otherwise the seal will failed and cannot be used in the well.

l  The max length of matching pipe string is 1.117 meters.

l  Collision is forbidden during transportation, storage and using, to avoid deformation of the rigid body and cause bad influence on application.

l  It should be stored in anti-corrosion and dry place to avoid the influence of rust.

At the top of this well water injection pipe string is a square stop layer.

The Peristaltic compensator is put into operation in May 2002. When the water is injected normally, the dry pressing is 12Mpa and the oil pressure is 12Mpa. The first layer is filled with 120 m3 water and actual injection is 114 m3; the second layer is filled with 150 m3 and 125 m3 is  injected actually. All water injection is normal. Test result in June 2002 is as follows:

1.Water injection Stopped

Test results is that, the peristaltic compensator position was at 2088.3 meters and the first stage packer position was at 2100.8 meters.

2. Normal water injection

Test results is that, the peristaltic compensator position was at 2088.3 meters and the first stage packer position was at 2100.8 meters. The results of above two sets test data prove that the packer did not creep.
